Published the most detailed picture side of the Moon

In the Network published the most detailed picture to date the reverse side of the moon. The image was compiled from a variety of images obtained by the probe NASA's LRO.
Resolution is not a new image as possible - some areas of the lunar surface had previously been photographed in detail. But so far scientists have not been as detailed a picture the reverse side of the moon entirely. The individual photos were taken by a camera probe LRO Wide Angle Camera.
See photo in high resolution ... Because of the impact of tidal forces of the Earth to the Moon slowed the rotation of the Earth's satellite, and the period of the Moon around its axis is equal to the period of its revolution around the Earth. Accordingly, observers in the world is always only see one side of the satellite.
Side of the Moon was first photographed in 1959 by the Soviet automatic interplanetary station "Luna-3", and see it with my own eyes could members of the crew of the spaceship "Apollo 8," which flew over the satellite. Later in the course of observations of the Earth will turn away from the moon by orbiting probes, it was found that its landscape is markedly different from the other side of the landscape, which "looks" on the planet. In particular, on the other side there is little the so-called lunar seas - vast areas of flooded basaltic lava ejected during volcanic activity in the past.
