The world's first plastic surgery

The man in the First World bullet hit in the face. As for his name, there is some confusion, most likely his name was Willie Vicar (Willie Vicarage), he was wounded in Battle of Jutland. May 31, 1916-year man Willie was on duty on the ship "Malaya", which got 8 rounds, yet the battleship remained afloat, but 65 members of his crew were killed.

Willie was among the wounded and fell into the hands of a military doctor Harold Gillies. To restore Willie jaw, Harold Gillies used the technique "walking-stalk skin flap". Speaking in Russian, Harold notched a wounded skin on the chest and back and flap pulled it on to the jaw. Thus Willy "Running" jaw by their own donor tissue, thus avoiding rejection.

We must also bear in mind that at the time of any antibiotics and painkillers they did not know. By 1920, the year Willie Vicar almost recovered after being wounded, but became a drug addict and not a specific day could not live without morphine. Just look at his eyes.

What happened to the soldier then, history is silent, but his doctor Harold Gillies, author of the first in the world of plastic surgery, lived a long and happy life and was marked even in 1946, when the men sewed pussy woman, and in 1951, when, on the contrary, cut off a man's man pussy and sewed him female.
