Gunners news: Arsenal 1-1 Manchester United

Van Persie penalty earns a point on his Emirates return

Arsene Wenger's men failed to capitalise on Tottenham's draw at Wigan yesterday in their hunt for a top-four finish despite making an explosive start to a fiery contest EPL - Arsenal v Manchester United, Robin van PersieTheo Walcott gave the hosts the lead inside the second minute as Arsenal raced out of the blocks but they were pegged back at the end of the half courtesy of a Van Persie penalty.

After a week's worth of speculation Van Persie started on his return to the Emirates, while Lukas Podolski also made a rare start as Arsenal's central striker with Olivier Giroud missing through suspension.
The Gunners got off to the perfect start in front of their red hot home support when Walcott beat the offside trap and calmly found a way past David de Gea from a tight angle inside the second minute, though replays showed he was half a yard offside.
Santi Cazorla then stung the hands of the United keeper with a shot from range as Arsenal maintained their early momentum.

Van Persie's first real involvement in the game was a miscued shot which sailed high over the bar just after the 10-minute mark, much to the delight of the Gunners' supporters.

Those fans then collectively held their breath moments later when the Dutchman broke down the left flank before crossing for Phil Jones, who failed to find the target with a header after surging into the box.

Arsene Wenger's men lost some of that early impetus as the first half wore on but were sparked back into life when Jonny Evans brought down Walcott just outside the area.

The free kick was wasted but moments later Arsenal had a glorious chance to double their lead on the counterattack. Rosicky elected to pass to Podolski, rather than the unmarked Walcott, but the German could only fire his shot from a tight angle straight at De Gea.

Arsenal then had Wojciech Szczesny to thank for keeping them ahead just before the break. The Poland international made himself big to keep out Van Persie's header from point-blank range after a swift United counterattack.

But moments later Van Persie made no mistake, this time from the spot, after Sagna's rash challenge on the Dutchman gave United a penalty.
The full-back had given the ball to his former team-mate with a poor pass, and then brought him down in the box as he treid to make amends.

The Gunners made a bright start after the break and could have gone ahead early on but Tomas Rosicky's prod with the outside of his boot whistled just past the De Gea's far post.

Sir Alex's side soon edged back into the contest and dictated the game for the next 15 minutes. Van Persie overhit a low cross past the onrushing Antonio Valencia before Wayne Rooney wasted a good chance with a header straight at Szczesny from close range.

Arsenal rallied for a winner in an end-to-end finale, with Sir Alex's side still a threat on the break, but neither side could fashion the clear cut chance needed to win the game.

Cazorla came close with a powerful right-footed shot which was palmed away by De Gea with minutes left on the clock before Ryan Giggs wasted a great opportunity when found totally unmarked on the break by Rooney.
Wenger may see the draw as a missed opportunity to strengthen their grip on a top-four finish, while United can now no longer beat Chelsea's record Premier League points haul of 95.

8-level rooftop park in Osaka, Japan

When Osaka's baseball stadium closed its doors, it opened as a great opportunity to reconstruction in the new business district, next to the station Namba, the first stop from the airport Kansai. Given the location, owner Nankai Electric Railway asked John Gerd create gate to Osaka, which will emphasize its individuality. Gerd decided to create Namba Parks - a large park, which will be close to natural interference and harsh conditions of the city of Osaka.
Along with the 30-story tower, the project includes commercial centers (120 tenants), which topped the park on the roof, which crosses several blocks, gradually rising to eight levels.

1. In addition to the highly visible green areas in the urban landscape, where nature is rare, sloping park connects to the street, inviting passers-by to enjoy groves, clusters of rocks, cliffs, meadows, streams, waterfalls, ponds and outdoor terraces. The area under the park is divided between shops, entertainment centers and points of supply.

The history of electric shavers and Philips factory in the Netherlands

Recently, at the invitation of the Dutch company Philips I visited their largest factory for electric shavers in Drachten. I love to travel on such production, however, before the trip, I thought that the topic is not very interesting, but in reality was the opposite. For example, I learned that in the production of electric shavers Philips used Soviet aerospace technology, bought by the Dutch in Ufa in 1988.

1. First Jacob Schick invented the electric razor (yes, the company Schick his name), it happened in 1927, when he was looking for a method without shaving cream and water (due to injury). In the mid-1930s, has sold 1.5 million Schick shavers - motor and shafts that drive knives to meet each other. This and other interesting information you can find in the student blog .

2. Completely new, rotary shaver in 1939 developed the engineer Alexander Horowitz, hired by Philips, it was known as Philishave Shaver. Here it is, in the hands of the advertising character of the time standing in a factory in Drahtene.

3. In this small Dutch town is factory that produce all razors Philips, as well as research and development center, which employs about 2,000 staff.

4. Showroom with different (not all) goods made by Philips and Bren museum all manufactured razors!

5. For 75 years it has been sold 600 million razors! Looking around the exhibition, you can see how the design has changed over the decades, and technology: there were batteries, colored plastic, from one shaver head came to all three.

17. And here is the main model for today - SensoTouch 3D

18.

19. You can also try the new razor. And engaged than writer Leonid Kagan.

20. One of the SensoTouch 3D designers told us how to create the product - many months of studies of consumer preferences (shape, material, etc.) in different categories of things - phones, cars, computers, watches, etc.

21. Might look like a razor, if not the main enemies of designers - marketing)

22.

23.

24. It turns out that shaving "by zero" provides special design knives. Here they are in a larger size, like shields, whose aim to catch hairs. That it is made by Soviet aerospace technology!

25. First hooked knife and pulls the hair, and the other cuts it.

26. Soviet technology, bought by Philips in 1988 in Ufa, allows you to make holes in the washer with the special shape of the electrodes and a special solution (you can see the video as it happens).

27.

28. Production itself is not small - a lot of rooms, which produce nearly 200 items, of which is, for example, SensoTouch 3D, then it all going to probably 90 percent - automatics.

29.

30. Around some incredible robots.

31. One of the most interesting sights - the smelting of plastic parts. General of the shops do not want to leave, conveyors each component for the production of very interesting ;)
